Bumpdate: 16 weeks!

August 5th ~ August 11th

How far along? Today (8/11/13) is 16 weeks, 6 days!

Size of the little darling? At 16 weeks, baby is the size of an avocado -- about 4.6 inches and weighing in at around 3.5 ounces

Maternity Clothes? I have officially made the switch to all maternity (or stretchy) all the time.  While in New York, I found a pair of maternity jeans (in petite size - which seemed too good to be true) and some khakis for work.  Then, this weekend, my sweet cousin Meaghan gifted me with a whole bag full of maternity clothes which included several great maternity pants and skirts I can wear to work.

Stretch Marks? Nothing yet!

Gender? Monthly doctor's appointment tomorrow where we will schedule the ultrasound!

Movement? Nothing yet; I've been anxiously awaiting some flutters but haven't felt anything distinctive yet.

Sleep? Going slightly better with my giant pile of pillows, but I'm still struggling to stay comfortable all night long.  On the other hand, I'm happy to report that I no longer have to make multiple trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night, which is really nice.

Exercise? Ugh...NOTHING this week.  First we were in New York, then in the car driving back home, and then at my cousin's wedding...it just didn't happen this week so hopefully I can be more diligent next week.

Food Cravings? Nada.  I kind of want to experience the intense need for some random food at all hours of the day or night, but so far my appetite is exactly the same as normal this trimester.

What I Miss? Still really missing clear skin...and I did miss having a glass of wine or champagne at my cousin's wedding last night.

Symptoms? Some continued headaches, sharp round ligament pains when I move too quickly from one position to another, and acne....same as before!

Weight Gain?  According to our scale, it looks like I'm up about 3 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight.  We'll see the official numbers tomorrow at the doctor!

Best Moment of the Week? Definitely visiting Elmira College with Colleen and our husbands!  It was such an amazing day full of wonderful memories and it was so fun to think that it was baby Knox's first trip to EC!  Of course, we had to purchase an Elmira College sweatsuit onesie for the baby!
